Awards:

The success of my World Unicycling Tour goes beyond all the awards that I obtained. It was a lifetime experience where I shared with great international friends, making Puerto Rico a little bit closer to the rest of the world. The tour was also a big inspiration and a growth experience for me and for other riders. This is a list of the awards:

Eurocycle 2001:
1st Place - Unicycle Basketball My doctor advised me to not compete in any of the events of the Eurocycle, since I was supposed to save all my energy for the European Unicycle Tour. Affected by peer pressure, I ended up leading a basketball team that ended up winning. The tournament turned out to be harder than I expected and we had to beat a well-prepared team from Lyon, France.

European Unicycle Tour:
I did it!!! This is the biggest achievement of this trip. This was not a competitive event; we were a group of 10 riders that helped each other achieve our objective. At first, unicycling 1,000 miles across Europe sounded like an impossible venture and I proved that anything is possible, if we try hard enough. I am not a special person or a super-athlete; I am just someone who proposed to do something big and worked towards it.

World Games Unicycling Convention:

Expert Individual Freestyle Special Recognition Stay on Top Special Award

Australian Unicycling Nationals

1st Place: 1,500 mts
1st Place: wheel walk
1st Place: one foot
1st Place: uni-basketball
2nd Place: distance gliding
The main purpose of my participation at the Australian UniNats was to help develop unicycling in Australia. Since I am not from Australia, they considered me the "UNINATS Champion" rather than the "Australian Champion".
